Matic is a mortgage-based start-up with the goal of making your home-buying experience enjoyable.

The process of buying a home involves a lot of paperwork. Matic wanted to turn the process into something a bit more fun and easy — two feelings people never associate with home-buying.

At HPZ, we created a friendly, fun mobile app experience that empowers and educates customers at the same time. Our research uncovered helpful exemplars that led us to combine the best features of a chatbot (loan officer) and educational flashcards (teaching the ABCs of home buying). Home buyers could submit information without being weighed down by the drudgery of filling out forms.
